THE CARE HOUSE PROJECT
THE CARE HOUSE PROJECT
The Care House Project has worked with and for the Harlow community since 2022 to improve mental health and wellbeing, celebrate care and community, and provide hope for a better future. The Care House Project has engaged thousands of residents through creative health workshops, co-created artworks and community-led events.
The first ever Care House Project in 2022 culminated in a week-long Festival of Care in Harlow Town Park and performances of 9 Acts of Care, a beautiful co-created meditation on what it feels like to live with and without care.
Our flagship Care Workshops have also been running since 2022, in each workshop we use creative writing and movement activities to build long term positive wellbeing and mental health always supported by a mental health professional.
Other strands of the project have included our Move for Wellbeing workshops and the dance film Harlow Cares, which won the Best Documentary at the 2024 Essex International Film Festival.
